The Festival in the Park began in 1993 when local businesses held the Great American Bargain Fair, in 1995 the Orting Business and Civic Association changed the name to Festival in the Park. Now hosted by the Orting Chamber of Commerce, the Festival in the Park is held on the 3rd Saturday of August each year.

The festival offers things that cannot be found anywhere else., Three long stretches of park, in the middle of Orting's Town Center, right on the Foothills Trail, making this festival unique.

The most important part of our festival is the families and friends who attend! We pride ourselves on offering something for EVERYONE, young and old alike! Come ride the train or take a horse-drawn carriage ride for FREE! Our Sponsors have stepped forward to make this possible.

The vendors offer everything from hot dogs & cotton candy to beautiful handmade crafts, water features, wood working, carving, antiques, paintings, potters, jewelry, kid's crafts and wearable art just to mention a few. You might even find something for your favorite pet! There are organizations like the Foothills Trail, local school, civic, bicycle, church, outdoors men and many more with lots of great information. You can learn about our local community, our businesses, civic groups, sports, parks, and our year 'round activities.

The Orting Valley is bordered by two rivers, the Carbon River to the east and the Puyallup River to the west, and hosts a breathtaking view of Mount Rainier. Orting is home to the Washington State Soldiers Home. There are Trails, hiking, skate park, fishing, shopping, dining and hunting adventures here as well as the beautiful murals downtown.

Come

TRAVEL THE TRAIL TO ORTING!

We're waiting to greet you!
